The device has an optical recording device (2) e.g. camera, movable in a direction and provided for temporal successive recording of individual images (11'-15', 101'-105'). An electronic processing- and representation system e.g. computer (4), produces an image mosaic (100') from the individual images in an output device e.g. monitor (5a), where the image mosaic is in the form of a digital raster graphic designed from pixels. The pixels are optically and variably represented in the output device depending on reception aging of the pixels. An independent claim is also included for a method for representation of image mosaics.
