The method involves automatic generation of valid designs by a computer in consideration of boundary conditions, and automatic evaluation of the individual valid designs. The individual designs are selected, deleted or maintained in consideration of the evaluation. An examination is made whether an abort criterion is fulfilled. The remaining, mutated and/or merged design are drawn as a valid design when terminating an iterative optimization process and an output of the generated and optimized design. The running of the optimization process is renewed. An independent claim is also included for a device for automatic generating and optimizing of a design in a building industry.
