The buckle has a spring element loading a lock mechanism (15) in closing direction of the mechanism. A damping element works against the closing direction of the lock mechanism. The damping element is formed by another spring element (20) e.g. flat spring, where spring force exerted by the latter spring element on the lock mechanism is smaller than spring force exerted by the former spring element. The latter spring element is clamped fixedly with an end at the buckle, and lies at the lock mechanism with a free end.
