The arrangement (10) has an airbag housing (12) and a gas bag provided at an adjacent component of a motor vehicle. A relative position of the gas bag at the adjacent component is variable when the gas bag is moved from a stowage position into a support position. Connection units (14) e.g. springs, are provided for connecting the airbag housing with the adjacent component. One of the connection units has an elongated mounting hole (20), and the air bag housing is held in the mounting hole in a displaceable manner by a fastening unit e.g. screw (18).
