Material roll e.g. paper roll, rolling method for use in support roller type reel device of e.g. paper machine, involves measuring line force between print roll system and material roll, and adjusting line force using control devices

The method involves measuring line force between a print roll system (130) and a material roll (120) such as paper roller, by force measurement using force sensors. The line force is adjusted using control devices e.g. vertical hydraulic cylinders (180), connected with print roll bars (140). A position of arms of the cylinders to frames of the cylinders is measured. Adjustment of the position or a curvature of the print roll bars is controlled by the position measurement. The measuring sensors are connected with the print roll beams. An independent claim is also included for a support roller type reel device comprising a control unit.
