PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device which allows high light use efficiency to be obtained by accurately positioning an illuminating light area to an image formation area of an image display element and facilitates work for adjustment.;SOLUTION: A first lens holder 42 holding a first lens and a second lens holder 52 holding a second lens are disposed on a common lens base 30, and the first lens holder 42 is configured so as to be movable in a direction of one side of an exit end of a light tunnel, and the second lens holder 52 is configured so as to be movable in a direction of another side adjacent to the one side of the exit end of the light tunnel, and the first lens holder 42 and the second lens holder 52 are moved to position the illuminating light area on a DMD to the image formation area of the DMD.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
