The invention relates to a method for detection of tumour cells contained in a biological sample by highlighting allelic imbalances in insertion-deletion chromosome markers, said method using multiple amplification of said markers by thermal-dependent chain reaction with calculation of a global statistical score for all studied markers and comparison of said score with a fixed normal threshold.
