The present invention relates to a collapsible trestle (10) with a folded position and an unfolded position, said trestle comprising a cross-member (12) having longitudinal dimensions (l) and transverse (i), defining a lower face (f), of the first and second pairs of legs (14,16) of the hinge means allowing the feet (14a, 14b, 16a, 16b) of each pair of feet to be separated from one another when the trestle (10) is in the unfolded position, and extend against one another when the trestle is in folded position, the means of articulation (18,20) making it possible, in addition, in each pair of feet to pivot about an axis transverse to the cross-member so that in the folded position, the pairs of legs (14,16) extend beneath the lower face of the cross-member, the invention is characterized in that first and second means of articulation (18,20) are transversely offset from one another in such a way that, in the folded position, the first and second pairs of legs (14,16) extend side by side along the lower face (f) of the cross member (12).
