The device has a tarpaulin assembled at a longitudinal upper end of a tipper (1) in one position and deployed to cover an upper opening of the tipper in another position. The tarpaulin has a transversal end edge (4c) with a fixation unit to permanently fix the edge on an end gunwale (3c), and another transversal end edge connected to a hub of a winding drum (5). A heavy linear lining ballasts a contact of the edges with side gunwales (3a, 3b) when the tarpaulin is unwound. The drum has end flanges (6, 7) whose diameter is larger than that of a roll of the tarpaulin entirely wound on the hub.
