Multi-layer film comprises: a base film (A) comprising a biopolymer; a layer (B) comprising an adhesion primer on one side of the base film; and a layer (C) comprising a vinylidene chloride polymer coated on the layer (B). Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for preparing the multilayer film, comprising preparing (A), coating the layer (B), and coating the layer (C); and (2) a packaging made from a multilayer film.
