The mechanism (1) has a base (20) that is closed at the front by a cover (10), and a case (2) in which electric connection elements are housed. The elements have printed circuits supported by upper and intermediate support plates (30, 40). The plate (30) is positioned between a rear surface of the cover and the plate (40). One printed circuit supported by the plate (30) forms a tactile control slot (31). A pressure unit i.e. elastically deformable lugs (62), is interposed between the plates. The pressure unit pushes the slot against the rear surface of the cover. An independent claim is also included for an electric appliance comprising an electric appliance mechanism mounted on an appliance support covering a cover plate.
