The method involves calculating a pertinent indication with respect to pressure of a tire from a measurement. The indication is compared to a non-zero threshold associated to the indication. A confidence index is calculated from the measurement permitting the calculation of the indication, when the indication exceeds the threshold. An alarm is triggered, when the index is higher than or equal to a confidence threshold associated to the index.
