The method involves receiving location information of a vehicle i.e. motor car. A database for entry of previously encountered damage to the vehicle is searched at specific location. The database is comprised of entries, information of the previously encountered damage to the vehicle and location and time of damage occurred. Value of threat of the vehicle is estimated based on determined location and information of damage occurred. Indication of a hazard is output when estimated value exceeds threshold value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for estimating hazard of a vehicle (2) a motor car (3) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for estimating hazard of a vehicle.
