PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibodies with increased Fc receptor binding affinity and effector function. PSOLUTION: In the field of glycosylation engineering of proteins, nucleic acid molecules (including fusion constructs) having catalytic activity and the use thereof in glycosylation engineering of host cells to prepare polypeptides with improved therapeutic properties (including antibodies with increased Fc receptor binding and increased effector function) are provided. In the general meaning, glycosylation engineering of host cells to modify glycosylation profile of one or plural polypeptides produced by the host cells is provided. By using the method, glycosylation of Fc region is modified (including decrease of fucosylation), and, as the result of the modification of glycosylation, therapeutic antibodies with increased effector function and/or Fc receptor binding can be produced.
