PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for directly separating a useful bacterium from soil, which enables the useful bacterium such as a Bacillus natto to be directly separated from the soil without being separated from something except the soil.;SOLUTION: This method for directly separating the useful bacterium from the soil includes: an air-drying step of applying air-drying treatment to the collected soil; a suspension step of obtaining a suspension liquid for use in culture by suspending the air-dried soil in sterilized water and subsequently performing phased dilution; a culture step of adding the obtained suspension liquid to a culture medium and applying culture treatment for 24 h or more at 30°C or above; and a separation step of obtaining an intended separated strain by singly transplanting one of colonies developed by the culture step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
