PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load sensitive type automatic transmission device which requires an operator no complicated transmission operation every time a load status changes, which can smoothly transmit power between a low-speed side rotating member and an output rotating member when hoisting a rated or greater load, and which can reduce shocks and noises at switching.;SOLUTION: The device includes an intermediate magnetic substance 19 which is displaced in axial directions of rotary shafts of both rotating members by a position switching member in response to the magnitude of an external load and is magnetically engaged with a magnetic substance of either the low-speed side input rotating member or the high-speed side input rotating member, and output rotating members 30, 32 which perform switching between a low-load high-speed rotation and a high-load low-speed rotation. The low-speed input rotating member contains an engagement part 17a mechanically engaged with an output rotating member.
