PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a light source module having high light extraction efficiency; a lighting device using the light source module; a liquid crystal display device; and an image display device. PSOLUTION: An LED chip 3 as a light source is arranged on a wiring substrate 2, and the LED chip 3 is covered with a first semi-cylindrical lens 4 made of a transparent resin. Furthermore, a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the first lens 4 is covered with a second lens 5 configured by bending a semi-cylindrical lens and made of a circular transparent resin, and a dual structure of a lens is formed by firmly sticking each other.
