PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight underrun protector having an excellent buckling resistance characteristic.;SOLUTION: The underrun protector having the excellent buckling resistance characteristic includes: an underrun protector body 1 which is arranged at a front or rear part of a vehicle and extends in the vehicle width direction; a pair of brackets 3 which fix the underrun protector body 1 to a vehicle body frame 2 of the vehicle, and are arranged separately along the vehicle width direction of the underrun protector body 1; a reinforcement 4 which is a reinforcing part of the underrun protector body 1, mounted at a non-load side of the underrun protector body 1 along the longitudinal direction of the underrun protector body 1 while its longitudinal dimension is set to be larger than the length between the pair of bracket 3; and a gusset 5 for reinforcing connection parts of the brackets 3 and the underrun protector body 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
