PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an IIR filter design method capable of precisely calculating a filter factor of a higher order IIR filter.;SOLUTION: This invention is based on a method of designing the IIR filter comprising the steps of: calculating a provisional filter factor by a predetermined operation; determining whether the maximum of the provisional filter factor exceeds 1 or not; performing a factorization processing by considering the provisional filter factor as a polynomial when the maximum of the provisional filter factor exceeds 1; memorizing each factor calculated as a result of the factorization processing as a filter factor of a lower order IIR filter; generating the IIR filter obtained by cascading the lower order IIR filter by using the memorized filter factor; and programming the generated IIR filter to a digital signal processor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
