PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the need to change the threshold which serves as a reference for diagnosis.;SOLUTION: A pressure transmitter uses a connecting pipe to detect the pressure of an object to be measured, such as, fluid, slurry, gas, etc. that sloshes under pressure. An apparatus for diagnosing a blockage in a connecting pipe includes a detecting section 11 for detecting the frequency of vertical sloshing movements in each separate zone, into which a time series of pressure values detected by the pressure transmitter has been divided; and a determination section 12 for determining the state of a blockage in the connecting pipe, by comparing the frequency of vertical sloshing movements with a predetermined threshold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
