PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved indication of the amount of remaining capacity for inputting data in an edit field of an electronic device with respect to the indication of the amount of characters that can further be input to the edit field of the electronic device. PSOLUTION: To indicate the amount of data, in particular, of characters, which can be input to the edit field of the electronic device by graphically visualizing an available capacity for inputting data to the edit field.
