PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device provided with a free stopper release mechanism which prevents the breakage of a connecting member which is drawn into the closing direction of a sliding door by an energizing means caused by the impact when a kicker moving at a high speed stops.;SOLUTION: The sliding door 4 of the sliding door device provided with the free stopper release mechanism is stopped in an optionl position by bringing an elastic engagement member 21 arranged swingably in the sliding door 4 into contact with a rail 11 for a stopper arranged in the open/close direction of the sliding door 4 in an inclined state. Then a clearance is generated between the elastic engagement member 21 and the rail 11 for the stopper by swinging the elastic engagement member 21 by the movement of the kicker 10 which moves by being guided by the rail 11 for the stopper. Thus, the state of the stop of the sliding door 4 is released. An elastic body 13 is placed in the connecting member 14 which connects between the energizing means 15 and the kicker 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
