PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric-deodorizing agent which can be added to a washing liquid or a rinsing liquid on a washing treatment to remove an odor incapable of being removed only by the washing treatment, and to provide a method for deodorizing a fabric.;SOLUTION: This fabric-deodorizing agent comprises (a) 0.5 to 10 wt.% of a cationic surfactant, (b) one or more surfactants selected from anionic surfactants and nonionic surfactants, (c) a water-soluble organic solvent, (d) one or more perfume components selected from a perfume group A consisting of 5 to 20C esters; 5 to 15C aldehydes; and large cyclic, isocoumarin-based, indane-based and tetralin-based musks and one or more perfumes selected from a perfume group B consisting of 5 to 15C alcohols and 10 to 15C hydrocarbons in a total amount of 0.5 to 5 wt.%, and water, and the method for deodorizing the fabric comprises dipping the fabric in an aqueous solution containing the fabric-deodorizing agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
