PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creation device and a creation method for a stereoscopic image allowing the easy generation of a stereo image for stereoscopic vision from one image. PSOLUTION: In the stereoscopic image creation method generating the stereo image including first and second images having parallax and allowing the stereoscopic vision, a two-dimensional (x, y) original image is acquired (S1), a depth in a depth (z) direction of each pixel is obtained in a pseudo state based on the luminance information of each pixel of the original image, pseudo three-dimensional image information including a coordinate of each of a lateral (x) direction, a longitudinal (y) direction and the depth (z) direction of the image is generated about each pixel of the original image (S2), and the original image is three-dimensionally rotated rightward and leftward by prescribed angles by the use of the pseudo three-dimensional image information to generate the respective first and second images (S3, S4).
