PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a stamina of a subject easily without applying a heavy burden on the subject. PSOLUTION: An apparatus 100 for calculating stamina is provided which is attached to a subject detachably. The apparatus 100 for calculating stamina comprises an acceleration sensor 108 for measuring acceleration acting on the subject, a CPU 112 for calculating an impulse acting on the subject on the basis of the acceleration value outputted from the acceleration sensor 108, and a display section 104 or a speaker 105 for outputting walk information which orders the subject to increase the walk speed to the highest possible speed from a low speed. After the walk information is ouputted by the display section 104 or the speaker 105, the CPU 112 calculates stamina of the subject that correlates with the maximum impulse on the basis of the calculated maximum impulse.
