PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a procedure for acquiring efficiently information on an unknown sample, in a mass spectrometric system aiming at identification of the unknown sample.;SOLUTION: An intensity change is predicted by using a Gauss function relative to each peak in a mass spectrum obtained by performing mass spectrometry, and the number of times of tandem mass spectrometry to be executed successively and parent ions are determined based on the intensity change. The mass spectrometric system constituted of a sample separation means and a mass spectrometer has one characteristic wherein the number of times of the tandem mass spectrometry is determined by predicting the intensity change of each peak appearing there from the mass spectrum of the mass spectrometry obtained already. Since the number of times of the tandem mass spectrometry in one measurement is increased thereby, much structure information of a component in the sample is obtained, to thereby improve accuracy of identification.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
