PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect individual information and to reduce mounting burdens on the host device side while securing interoperability.;SOLUTION: The data protection system provides data to a specified host device 20 from an SD card 10 wherein the data are ciphered and stored by a double cipher key method using a data key Di and a user key Uk, and limits the provision of the data to the host device other than that. The host device 20 is provided with a DPS (Data Protection System) program in charge of control relating to the write and read of the data. The SD card 10 ciphers/deciphers the data according to an instruction from the DPS program and is provided with a DPSA (Data Protection System Agent) program for managing user ID information for specifying a user capable of executing the deciphering of the data utilizing the user key.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
