PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test chart appropriate for an inspection of a detection function, a printing system which prints the test chart. PSOLUTION: This printing system with a printing means for printing a document prints a confidential document along with a confidential pattern indicating that the document is the confidential one, when the document is the confidential one. The printing system comprises: a pattern data generating means for generating confidential pattern data for printing the confidential pattern; a merging means for merging the confidential pattern data into confidential document data as data on the confidential document; a confidential pattern detecting means for detecting the printed confidential pattern; and a test chart data generating means for generating the test chart data for printing the test chart 303 as paper which is used for inspecting the confidential pattern detecting means, and which is partially subjected to the printing of the confidential pattern.
