The liquefaction resistance estimation method for young ground

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily estimating liquefaction resistance by using the moisture content of a ground to be surveyed based on the results of a series of experiments on the liquefaction resistance of a young ground including a fine silt in which a relative density by a novel definition is used.;SOLUTION: The relative density by the minimum method is obtained by an inter-specimen void ratio and maximum and minimum void ratios of a specimen to be surveyed. The inter-specimen void ratio is obtained by measuring from the water content of the specimen. The minimum void ratio is obtained by the test defined by the minimum method. By the relative density of the specimen to be surveyed obtained by the minimum method, the repeated resistance, i.e., the liquefaction resistance can be easily estimated by the charts in which various rupture standards of the results of the series of experiments on the young ground are used as parameters.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
