PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a voltage applied to pixels with high precision in a device which performs display by electrooptical changes of liquid crystal, etc.;SOLUTION: The correcting circuit 600 is added to an electrooptical device 10. Assuming that a positive-polarity select voltage +VS is applied to a scanning circuit 312 in the latter half of one horizontal scanning period, the correcting circuit 600 detects a spike accompanying switching of a data line 212 from a voltage -VD/2 to a voltage VD/2 in the former half and decides whether or not the detected spike is larger than a threshold; when it is decided that the spike is larger than the threshold, a pulse having the same polarity with the detected spike is added to a supply line 511 for the select voltage in the latter half following the former half.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
