PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notching method for a metal strip in a continuous treatment line thereof capable of preventing the width end of a metal strip portion having a notch of an arc shape or the like from being caught by either upper or lower blade after the notching, and preventing the metal strip from being broken in that state when the conveyance is re-started, and a continuous treatment line for the metal strip.;SOLUTION: The continuous treatment line for metal strip comprises a warpage detector 2 to measure the warpage X in the width direction W of a steel strip 5, a first elevating/lowering hydraulic cylinder 13 to adjust the height of an upper blade 11 of notching equipment 1, a position adjustment means such as a second elevating/lowering hydraulic cylinder 15 to adjust the height of a guide 12, and a controller 7 to output a command to the position adjustment means so that the upper blade 11 or the guide 12 of the notching equipment 1 is moved to the position to avoid any catching to the steel strip 5 causing warpage in the width direction after the notching according to the warpage X measured by the warpage detector 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
