This invention relates to a tea harvesting shear. It consists of two stainless steel blades pivotally joined to polypropylene handles. A collection bag of fibre glass is detachably disposed downwardly on the blades. Cover plates are provided on the top side of each blade to grind the harvested tea leaves into the bag. A stopper means nesting in a grove is provided for regulating the opening and closing of the blades.
