In a casing structure (10) that holds a predetermined object between a plurality of compressed wood pieces, each of a front panel (11) and a rear panel (12) of the compressed wood includes a main surface portion (11a, 12a) and side surface portions (11b - 11e, 12b - 12e) formed integrally around all the peripheral edges of the main surface portion and non-parallel therewith, and wood fiber directions in the main surface portion and the side surface portions of the front and rear panels are substantially symmetrical with respect to an opposing surface between the front and rear panels.
