The wheel (1) has a mobile support device (01) pivotally connected to a wheel support frame (03). Ends of a shaft sleeve (08) extend through wheel carrier plates. The wheel support frame is coupled to a rotation axis (02), and is provided with a pedal (13) and a locking device (11) that is made of steel. The shaft sleeve is inserted into a slot (10) of the wheel carrier plates. Teeth are formed in a lower turntable disc (12). The wheel carrier plates are interconnected by a transverse plate. The transverse plate is pivotally connected to the rotation axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for blocking a scaffold wheel.
