Kiln is the key equipment in the production of metallurgy, cement and material of fire-fast. It is the statically indeterminate system with over load, large torque and multi-supporting. In the operating of rotary kiln, owing to asymmetric thermal expansion and abrasion, the practical center of rotation is not in line of that of the multi-support and the distribution of support force will become serious non-uniform. These will result in crack shaft of supporting wheel. It is very expensive to substitute the supporting wheel shaft, which will destroy the equipment, stir safety accident. In this paper a new method to diagnose the crack supporting wheel shaft during its operating is present. The crack extending condition and time fatigue life of supporting wheel can be judged by means of analyzing the vibration of base seating of supporting wheel. In practice, many things can be done reasonably and effectively according to the detecting of crack shaft, for example to arrange the maintaining and repairing rotary kiln. It will decrease the potential accidents and un-predicted stopping rotary kiln.
