Method used in the tobacco-processing industry for processing rod-shaped objects comprises arranging the objects on a transfer conveyor (12), transferring the objects from the transfer conveyor to at least one processing drum (22), and processing the objects whilst they are being transported by the processing drum. After processing, the objects are transferred to the transfer conveyor by the processing drum.
