The invention relates to a linear modular electromagnetic device for treating liquids circulating in conduits with circular cross-section in magnetic field. According to the invention, the device comprises an inductor similar to an inductor of a linear asynchronous single-phase motor, having the magnetic circuit built in the shape of a torus (M) of coiled ferromagnetic tape, forming together with nine toruses (m...m) mounted inside the tape eight compartments destined for mounting some coils (1...8) which are connected in two windings (AX and BY) which, associated with a capacitor (C), may ensure a revolving magnetic field in a liquid volume (L) playing the role of an armature, there resulting a magnetic pulsatory field.
