An aqueous dispersion of a resin, which comprises in its dispersed form, at least one resin comprising a reaction product that can be obtained by reacting an alkyd polymer (resin), and optionally a surfalkid, with a mixture of diacetone acrylamide, acrylate monomers and optionally aromatic monomers, to form an acrylated alkyd polymer, and neutralizing the acrylated alkyd polymer with ammonia or an amine.
