The car has an electric supplying track shoe for supplying power to the car by contact with an electric supply rail, and a pilot (10) arranged in front of the electric supplying track shoe. The pilot includes a hand brush (14) placed in back of a protection shield (12). The brush moves with respect to the shield between a storage position, in which the brush is spaced from the rail, and a work position, in which the brush cleans the rail. A displacement mechanism (16) displaces the brush between the two positions. The pilot is spaced apart from the supply rail by the shield.
