Movable watch-tower lighting running in track - uses track with open bottom slot and having electric supply rails and guide track for wheeled spotlight carrier

The lighting system has a spotlight (14) running on a track (10) round the top of the outer wall of an observation post. The spotlight (14) is suspended from a carrier (30), in which it can tilt upwards and downwards about a horizontal axis. The carrier (30) has wheels (12) which allow it to be moved round the track (10) which is shaped, in section, so that the carrier runs inside the track section. Conductor rails run around the inside of the track section and the carrier has sliding brushes fitted to it to provide electric supply to the spotlight, which has trailing leads coupling it to the brushes in the carrier.
