Methods and apparatus for improving administration of drugs through the use ofheat and other physical means. The presentinvention relates to the use of heat and other physical means (100) inconjunction with specially designed dermal drug delivery systems(120), conventional commercial dermal drug delivery systems, or drugsdelivered into a sub-skin depot site (134) via injection and othermethods to alter, mainly increase, the drug release rate from the dermal drugdelivery systems or the depot sites to accommodate certainclinical needs.
