The invention provides a method of cementing an oil well or the likecomprising injecting a cement slurry comprising a surfactant,and foaming said slurry before allowing the cement to set. The water contentof the slurry used is very low (less than 50 % by volume forsystems based on an ordinary cement and less than 72 % by volume for systemsbased on a micro-cement).
