This invention relates to a method and a system for learning a language based on sound analysis on the Internet. In the disclosed language-learning method, a system for a language-learning service provides a learner with the contents for language-learning by being connected to the learner's computer. When the learner logs into the system through the computer, the system provides a screen for a learning page. Then, the system provides a new learning page that the learner is supposed to study based on the progress of the previous lesson when the learner selects a learning menu on the screen. If the learner inputs answers after the lesson on the learning page, the system evaluates the answers based on a comparison with the correct answers. The system provides the next lesson page to the learner only when the results are over a certain level in the evaluation. When the learner selects a recording menu on the lesson page, the system activates a timer and records the learner's voice for a limited time. Then, the system analyzes the recorded voice based on sound analysis. The system manages the analyzed results and provides the learner with the analyzed results after storing the results in a database.
