The invention relates to spot welding tongs (1) with jaw balancing, comprising a jaw base body (4), two jaw arms (6, 7) and a balance unit (17), which movably connects one of the jaw arms (6, 7) to the jaw base body (4) designed to transform rotational movement into a linear movement. The balancing unit (17) is made up of a drive unit (18) and a connector element (19) and the connector element (19) has an eccentric movable fixing to an eccentric disc (23) fixed to the drive unit (18). According to the invention, such a welding tongs (1) with a balancing unit (17), for simple transformation of a rotational movement into a linear movement may be achieved by designing the connector element (19) with a curved end region.
