The connecting rod for twin crankshaft piston machines has a shaft which consists of a narrow section (40) connected to the small end (2) and a wider section (45) connected to the big end (3). The sections are connected by a step (44) and the width of the narrow section where it connects with the small end is less than its outer diameter : An independent claim is included for twin crankshaft piston machines fitted with two pistons as described.
