A method of producing a directory of content for a device, reporting content usage metrics for the device, and enforcing geolocalization of content on the device. A device stores a local content record on the device that includes a plurality of links to content provided by a content provider. The device receives a host content record from a host device. The local content record is refreshed with the host content record. The device outputs a directory corresponding to the local content record. The device initiates a storage of one or more content usage metrics upon a user request for content. A location of the device is determined by the network connection. Access to content can be regulated by the location of the device. The device reports the content usage metrics to the host device or another device.
