The present invention relates to a genetic construction comprising the gene of the mouse kidney androgen-regulated protein (KAP) under the control of a specific promoter of expression in renal tissue. Genetically modified cell systems and non-human animals are described comprising such construction, being useful for evaluation of the mechanisms involved in arterial hypertension and diverse types of nephrological damage.
