The unit (40) has a parameterizable control circuit (50) e.g. micro processor circuit, for controlling main circuit device of a load feeder by control elements (15). The control circuit realizes different control functions for the load feeder. A parameterization device e.g. dual in-line package (DIP) switch (61), adjusts different values of parameters e.g. operating mode, of a parameter set of the load feeder. The control circuit is formed on a control plate (49). The parameterization device is directly arranged on the control plate.
