PURPOSE: A composition for metal surface treatment and a composition for water-based metal surface treatment are provided to ensure excellent solution stablility, chemical resistance and lubrication, and to impart excellent corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and powder coating property. CONSTITUTION: A composition for metal surface treatment comprises, based on the weight of the composition converted into a solid portion, 50-80 weight% of a water-dispersible ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer resin; 2-20 weight% of water-soluble acrylic emulsion resin containing a phosphate-based acrylic monomer; 10-30 weight% of silica sol; 1-10 weight% of a silane coupling agent; 0.3-2 weight% of fluorinated resin-modified polyolefin-based wax; 0.1-5 weight% of organometallic complex compound and the balance of additives.
