PURPOSE: A position grasping apparatus, a method for grasping a user's position, and a method for grasping interest position are provided to grasp interest position in a topographical map by measuring azimuths and angles of inclination on the interest position.;CONSTITUTION: A scale(5) showing the height of a contour(12) is formed on the left and right sides of a substrate(1a). A vertical index line(5b) is formed vertically to a scale side(5a) at constant intervals along the scale. The scale showing the height of the contour corresponding to 1/50000 scale topographical map is formed at left side of a compass at 1/50000 scale. A height index tool is formed at one side of a moving tool(7). A rail(8) is formed at the lower part of the moving tool.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
